July 4th and the Yankees...

So for July 4th Ben bought Yankees tickets! We got on the subway and headed over to Yankee Stadium. We had never been there and it was fun to be in a place with so much history. We got hot dogs, a salty pretzel, popcorn, and dippin dots- another one of my favorites. I know we were really healthy- oh well. The game was fun and we had great seats. The Yankees were winning until the seventh inning. There were the cutest kids sitting right by us who loved to dance every time they played music. The Cotton Eyed Joey was pretty funny! After the game we bought some Yankee paraphernalia- t-shirts and hats- we have to be official! It was a great way to spend July 4th although we did miss being at the lake with family and friends. But, with all the rain in Texas, my family didn't make it to the lake this year. We are definitely missing our time out on the lake wake boarding and listening to John Cougar. We are looking forward to Labor Day weekend back in Austin. Oh yeah, if you look closely at one of the pictures of Ben and I you will see that I managed to get out the door with only one earring. I was trying to decide which ones I wanted to wear and I only ended up with one and realized this I think about 2-3 hours later. I wonder who I inherited that from (Mom) :o) I asked my husband why he didn't tell me. Boys and details- he didn't even notice and they weren't little studs!
