After the game we came back home and took Bailey out and just hung out at the apartment trying to decide what to do for the evening. We met up with Megan and Randy for pizza at Patsy's Pizzeria- it is a great little place that is within walking distance from our apartment. Our apartment is on the East side and they do great fireworks off of barges on the East River. After dinner we headed back down our street, E. 58th, which dead ends into the East River. It was really crowded and rainy so we didn't really have a great view of all the action. But, we still had fun trying to squeeze in -we actually climbed up on some railing and watched the fireworks! We love hanging out with the Evans- they are so much fun and we always have a great time together. The story behind our friendship is that I met Megan when I was in graduate school. I had an internship at an elementary school in Highland Park and she was my supervisor. She is my age, but those Baylor girls are ahead of the game :o) Anyway, she and Randy have been here over the past year and they just bought a house in Dallas and are heading back to Texas in August. Megan is such a sweet friend and it has been a blessing to have a familiar face to see and voice to talk to in this sea of strangers. We will definitely hang out when we all get back to Texas!
